New Schedule at Saint Barnabas Dunwoody - Coronavirus Concern

SAINT BARNABAS DUNWOODY:
12th March 2020
Dearly beloved in Christ,
As you are certainly aware, the intensifying coronavirus pandemic continues to affect our region, state, and nation.
In order to protect all of our parishioners and friends, and especially those who are elderly and those with pre-existing medical conditions, we have decided now to enact the following schedule changes:
Effective Sunday 15th March, all weekday services, classes, and events will be cancelled until the end of March.
Also effective Sunday 15th March, all Sunday classes for children and adults, and coffee hour, will be suspended until the end of the month.
The two Sunday Eucharists will continue to be celebrated as normally scheduled, 9am and 11am, until further notice. The nursery will be closed - please keep children with you.
We urge the elderly, and those who manifest any cold-like or influenza-like symptoms, please to remain at home on Sundays. Let us all continue best practices for personal health and hygiene, especially washing of hands and social distancing.
We note that these circumstances are certainly unprecedented in the history of our beloved parish.
During this time of concern, let us with one accord, and with all of our hearts, minds, and souls, turn to Our Blessed Lord Jesus Christ and beseech His mercy and goodness towards us and all the people of our land. Let us not panic, but remain steadfast in our faith - let us trust firmly and completely in our God and Saviour. Let us continue to pray for one another, for our community, for our parish family. And may we allow these circumstances to deepen our Lenten fast and discipline, and to draw our souls into a deeper love for God and a more profound repentance for our sins.
O MOST mighty and merciful God, in this time of grievous sickness, we flee unto thee for succour. Deliver us, we beseech thee, from our peril; give strength and skill to all those who minister to the sick; prosper the means made use of for their cure; and grant that, perceiving how frail and uncertain our life is, we may apply our hearts unto that heavenly wisdom which leadeth to eternal life; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
Please share this email - further updates and notices will be provided soon. God bless you!
