Bishop-Elect Robert Giffin

From the Diocese of Mid-America of the Anglican Province of America...

On Thursday, July 19, at the 3rd Synod of the Diocese of Mid-America, Anglican Province of America, The Rev. Robert Todd Giffin, Vicar of All Saints Anglican Church in Newburgh, Indiana, was elected by unanimous vote and acclamation by both houses to the office of Bishop Suffragan with Presiding Bishop Grundorf in attendance.  Bishop-Elect Giffin's Certificate of Election and Letters Testimonial will now be forwarded to the Standing Committee's of the DOW and DEUS for action, as well as the House of Bishops.  It is hoped that the consecration of the Bishop-Elect will occur sometime before Advent 2012.

We are thankful for the continued ministry of Bishop-Elect Giffin and the dedicated work put forth by his devoted wife Norma Jean.  We wish them and their family every success and blessing in a moment of joy both for me as Bishop Ordinary and the Diocese of Mid-America.  They will offer our Diocese and the wider Province much during the coming years.
