On 13th December 2025, Bishop Jeffrey S. Johnson, Bishop Ordinary of the Anglican Catholic Church Diocese of the Mid-Atlantic States, conferred the vesture and received the temporary vows of Brother Anson Marie, the first religious brother to take the habit in the newly forming Community of Our Lady of Walsingham (COLW).
Designed as an Anglican Joint Synods project, the Community falls under the episcopal visitation and supervision of Presiding Bishop Chandler Holder Jones SSC of the Anglican Province of America. Brother Anson Marie currently resides at the parish of Saint Thomas of Canterbury (ACC) in Roanoke, Virginia.
The Community of Our Lady of Walsingham is an Anglican monastic community which uses the Anglican Office Book for singing the Divine Offices in choir. The rule is a hybrid Benedictine-Carthusian rule with a balance of work, prayer, and study, and also includes time for that solitude necessary for monastic life.
