For the Centenary of the Restoration of the Shrine of Our Lady of Walsingham on 6th July 2022...

O Mary, recall the solemn moment when Jesus, thy divine Son, dying on the cross, confided us to thy maternal care. Thou art our Mother. We desire ever to remain thy devoted children. Let us therefore feel the effects of thy powerful intercession with Jesus Christ. Make thy name again glorious at Walsingham, renowned throughout England by thy visits, favours, and many miracles.

Pray, O Holy Mother of God, for the conversion of our land, restoration of the sick, consolation for the afflicted, repentance of sinners, peace to the departed.

O blessed Mary, Mother of God, Our Lady of Walsingham, intercede for us. Amen.

On this Feast of the Nativity of Saint John Baptist, on which the Supreme Court of the United States returned the abortion issue to the decision of the States, may Christians everywhere resolve to embrace in a renewed way our responsibility for the care of all unborn children and their mothers - which responsibility demands our own commitment and sacrifice for their sake. United to the sufferings of Our Lord Jesus Christ, may we seek to restore a culture of life, love, and family in this nation.

Our Lady of Walsingham Centenary

Very soon, on 6th July 2022, we celebrate the centenary of the restoration of the Shrine of Our Blessed Lady of Walsingham, the most important Marian devotion in the Anglican Church and in the United Kingdom. The Image of the Most Holy Mother of God was first restored to the parish Church of Saint Mary and All Saints, Little Walsingham, and later translated to the new Shrine building on 15th October 1931. Our Blessed Lady of Walsingham, pray for us! Blessed Alfred Hope Patten, pray for us!

A tremendous honour and privilege to confirm and receive 21 new members at Saint Paul's Church, Melbourne, Florida on Sunday 29th May, the largest such class I have personally seen thus far in North America. The Lord is doing wonders at Saint Paul's!
